About
I’m Kritin Sathi, a software engineer in San Francisco.
I write here when I’ve measured something and the result surprised me — usually about AI agent tooling, command-line debugging, or macOS internals.
Two things I try to hold to:
Every number carries its scope. If I write “median,” it’s a median, and the denominator is stated. Most of what I publish comes out of instrumentation I built for my own use, so the sample sizes are what they are and I say so.
The retractions stay in. Several posts here include a section on what I got wrong on the way to the result — usually a mechanism I invented to explain two observations that were both real. Those sections are the point, not an apology.
Corrections are welcome and I’ll credit them.
